No. The Genius Pipe uses no water at all. Cooling and filtration come entirely from the dimpled interior chamber, which means the pipe is fully portable and never needs to be filled, emptied, or carried upright.
Air passing over each dimple in the interior chamber creates a small, fast-spinning vortex. Those vortexes cool and filter the smoke without obstructing airflow the way water or other cooling methods do. The design originated as a heatsink engineered by the Genius Team to maximize computer chip performance, and was later adapted into the pipe.
No. The all-aluminum body has enough mass to dissipate heat quickly, so the pipe stays comfortable to hold. The mouthpiece sleeve can also be chilled in a refrigerator for an even cooler draw.
The body is machined from two aluminum blocks held together by eight magnets. The dimpled insert is aluminum finished with subsurface anodizing for vibrant, durable color, and the slider is also aluminum. There is no glass and no plastic in the smoke path.
Slide the two halves apart, which opens both dimpled surfaces so the entire smoke path is reachable. Genius Cleaner is the recommended cleanser, a spray-on formula that is naturally orange-scented and non-combustible, so it will not ignite in a hot car the way alcohol-based cleaners can. You can also clean with alcohol followed by soapy water and a plain water rinse, or simply wipe the flat dimpled surfaces with a tightly folded paper napkin.
Two sizes. The OG size measures 2 by 6 inches with more than 1,500 interior dimples. The Mini measures 1.5 by 5 inches with more than 1,800 dimples, since additional dimples compensate for the smaller chamber.
Both are OG-size pipes. Classic pipes come in plain, solid colors and are priced at 99.95 US dollars. Limited pipes feature artwork or designs, rotate over time, and are priced individually. Some Limited releases include a matching individually numbered metal art print.
Yes. The Custom Pipe Designer at my.geniuspipe.com lets you upload your own image onto the pipe. Custom pipes are 140 US dollars. Additional customization options are coming in Genius Studio.
The slider has a round opening that accepts accessories which attach magnetically and sit directly over the bowl, so the slider, accessory, and bowl act as one continuous chamber. These include the Genius Taster, a dab nail; the Adaptabowl, an adapter for a glass bowl; and the Partybowl, a larger bowl. Genius also makes TruTaste stainless steel screens, the Genius Mill grinder, the LIT BOX storage case, Genius Jars, Genius Cleaner, Genius Mist, and the Genius Backpack.
TruTaste screens are 0.75 inch stainless steel screens that grow stronger with use, because heat forms an additional oxide layer on the surface. Brass screens degrade with use and can open clear pathways for chemicals into the lungs, and other steel screens are flimsier and burn out faster.
There are two. The 30-day LOVE IT! guarantee is a satisfaction guarantee that lets you return the pipe if you do not love it. The Genius Life warranty is a lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects, named for the life of the pipe rather than the owner, since each pipe is meant to change hands and carry its own history.
Send the pipe in and Genius will either replace the affected part or replace the whole pipe and send it back. The customer covers postage both ways, but the repair or replacement service itself is free.
Karma is the Genius Pipe loyalty program at karma.market, where 1 Karma equals 2 US dollars at a fixed rate. Customers earn Karma automatically on purchases, and it becomes usable after a 30-day hold. Karma can be redeemed toward future purchases through the Buy with Karma option, and more can be earned by referring others through the Karma Kode referral system.
